The advisory team is comprised of several of Sarah’s closest friends and teammates from throughout her life. This group not only knew Sarah well, but shared many of her passions. The Foundation will benefit greatly from their collective guidance and individual talents in the months and years ahead.

Advisor Spotlight

Lexi Westley

My name is Lexi Westley and I am from Hackettstown, New Jersey. I am a senior at UW-Madison where I am currently running on the cross country and track teams and studying Health Promotion and Health Equity. Post college, I plan on pursuing a career as a college coach and obtaining an online certification in athlete mental health. I want to help coach and mentor the next generation of young women, and most importantly, see them as more than just runners but daughters, sisters, friends, leaders, and beyond.

On May 4th, I organized a spin class at Turnstyle Midwest in Madison, WI. Together, the studio and I worked to put on a spin ride dedicated to the Sarah Shulze Foundation. This ride raised over $1300 and was completely full! I was honored to put on this ride for Sarah and to continue to raise awareness for mental health.

Heidi Heuermann

My name is Heidi Heuermann and I am from Columbus, Ohio. I run cross country and track at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and I study business. I had the privilege of being roommates with Sarah for three years. Sarah was a great friend, training partner, and roommate who made an impact with everything she did. It is important to me to carry on Sarah's legacy and raise awareness for student athlete mental health and seek to advance women's rights.

On May 25th, I hosted a yoga donation class at Harbor Yoga studio in Dublin, Ohio. The class was free and 100% donation based, so all proceeds support the Sarah Shulze Foundation. We had a full class of almost 50 yogis with a wait list of 10. Together, we raised just over $1000. The support from the community was incredible!
